TERMS & CONDITIONS

Upon purchasing our course the participant declares to have read, understood and agree with these Terms & Conditions, validates the contract with Silk Mandarin and confirms to have filled in the registration form.

COURSE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Course
1. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, and each class consists of at least two (2) lessons, totaling 90 minutes.
2. A group course schedule is fixed, and lessons cannot be rescheduled or postponed. If a participant is unable to
attend a group lesson, it will still be deducted from their account as if attended
3. A group class requires a minimum of two (2) students. If there is only one (1) student, the lesson duration will be
reduced from 45 to 30 minutes. In such cases, the participant will have the option to freeze their classes until other
students join
4. A private course schedule will be arranged according to the participant’s preferences. Once the schedule is set, the
participant is expected to adhere to it. If the participant frequently cancels (i.e., more than one-third of the
scheduled classes per month) or takes a leave of two (2) weeks or more, the schedule and teacher can no longer be
guaranteed
5. All courses must be completed within one (1) year from the start date. If a course is not completed within this
period, any remaining classes will be deducted from the participant’s account, and no lesson transfer or refund will
be provided.
6. Courses cannot be transferred from one student to another

 

Prices and Payment
1. All prices are net prices.
2. If the participant or their company requires an official receipt (fapiao), an additional 6% will be added to the cost
3. Payment must be made upon receipt of the (digital) contract. In case of payment failure, Silk Mandarin cannot
guarantee the relevant services and reserves the right to terminate the contract.
4. The participant is responsible for any transaction fees related to the payment. In the case of a bank transfer, the
participant will cover the fees for both banks.

 

Cancellation and Refunds
1. Cancellation of a private class is free of charge if made at least 24 hours in advance. After this period, the class will
be considered attended, and the cost will be deducted from the participant’s account..
2. In the event of a course change, a fee of 500 RMB will be charged.
3. In the event of a course cancellation, a non-refundable fee of 1,000 RMB will be charged. The refund percentages
listed below will be calculated after this fee is deducted.
4. The camp fee is 100% refundable if the camp is canceled at least ninety (90) days prior to the intended start date,
75% refundable if canceled at least sixty (60) days prior, 50% refundable if canceled at least forty-five (45) days prior,
and 25% refundable if canceled at least thirty (30) days prior to the intended start date. After this period, the fee is
non-refundable。
5. To be eligible for a refund under these conditions, participants must submit a written request clearly stating the
reason for the refund and present their original passport or identity card. If an official receipt (fapiao) has been
issued, the original must also be returned. Please note that the tax amount and, where applicable, the registration
fee are non-refundable. Additionally, any payments for teaching materials or other products provided to the
participant are non-refundable once received.

 

Code of Conduct
1. All participants of Silk Mandarin courses are expected to adhere to proper conduct and obey Silk Mandarin’s staff
instructions. This covers, but is not limited to, showing respect towards others, including their cultures, beliefs, and
opinions and refrain from engaging in illegal activities and drug use.
2. Silk Mandarin reserves the right, at its discretion, to expel any participant whose behavior, actions, or attitude are
deemed detrimental to other participants, Silk Mandarin staff, the general atmosphere, or who fails to comply with
course rules, policies, and procedures. In such cases, Silk Mandarin will not provide any refund.
3. If a participant fails to achieve their learning objectives due to not following the study advice provided, Silk
Mandarin bears no responsibility for this outcome. In such cases, no refund will be provided;
4. The in-house designed teaching materials provided by Silk Mandarin may only be used in the (digital) classroom.
Participants are not permitted to take them away without permission.
5. Without written consent from Silk Mandarin, participants may not disclose, copy, distribute, or sell Silk Mandarin’s in-
house developed teaching materials to third parties, nor make any classroom recordings. All teaching and learning
materials provided by Silk Mandarin may only be used by participants for their own study, in accordance with the
terms of this agreement.

CAMP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Upon purchasing our camp the parent or legal guardian of the participant declares to have read, understood and agree
with these Terms & Conditions, validates the contract with Silk Mandarin and confirms to have filled in the registration
form and the medical form.

In these Terms & Conditions, any reference to the parent or parents of the participant also applies to the legal
guardian(s) of the participant.

Passport and Visa
Participants are responsible for a valid passport, visa, medical and travel insurance for the duration of the program.

 

Transport
Parents and participants are solely responsible for transportation to the camp city. Silk Mandarin accepts no
responsibility for travel delays or missed (flight) connections.

 

Prices and Payment
1. All prices are net prices.
2. If the participant or their company requires an official receipt (fapiao), an additional 6% will be added to the cost
3. Payment includes: accommodation (applicable in case of full camp only), food, supervision, instruction,
entertainment and activities. Not included are transport to and from home, pocket money, health and travel
insurance and medical expenses.
4. Payment must be made upon receipt of the (digital) contract. In case of payment failure, Silk Mandarin cannot
guarantee the relevant services and reserves the right to terminate the contract.

1. The minimum camp size is 10 children. If we need to cancel a session due to low enrolment, we will refund you in
full for the camp fee and, if applicable, the registration fee. So far, we have never canceled a camp program.

Photos and Videos
By enrolling your child in Silk Mandarin’s camp program, parents agree to let us use pictures and videos taken during
the program, in which your child appears, for educational or promotional activities and materials.
Medication and Allergies

If your child has food or other allergies, a medical condition that requires special arrangements to be made, please
notify us of your requirements when making your booking by filling in the medical record.

 

Illness and Accidents
If a participant becomes ill or requires medical attention, the staff will attempt to notify the parent, guardian or
emergency contacts listed on the registration form. If, however, the staff is unable to reach anyone listed as an
emergency contact, the staff will seek medical attention for your child if the situation warrants. Any financial obligations
as a result of such medical attention will be the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

 

Acceptance of risks and release from liability
1. Parents understand that certain risks are inherent in any hands-on educational activity. Parents agree that there may
be a risk of injury or harm to their child as a result of camp activities, and they knowingly and voluntarily assume all
risks of such injury or harm.
2. Parents understand and agree that it is their child’s responsibility to safeguard their personal belongings, and they
knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk that personal belongings brought to camp may be lost, misplaced,
damaged, or stolen. They hereby waive and release Silk Mandarin (and its owners, employees and agents) from
any and all claims, injuries, causes, actions, liabilities, demands, losses, legal or equitable, of any kind whatsoever
arising out of or in any way related to any loss or damage of property, injury, illness, disease, loss of services,
medical bills, charges or otherwise, including death, which may arise out of or in any way be related to their child’s
participating in the camp, whether occurring inside, on, outside, or off school property, during participation in
camp or related activities and for the duration of said activities and whether known or unknown, foreseen or
unforeseen, including any and all legal and attorneys’ fees and court costs.
3. If the participant’s program is seriously disrupted by unforeseen events (such as, but not limited to, natural
disasters, acts of war, or epidemics) which Silk Mandarin could not have reasonably foreseen, Silk Mandarin will not
be held responsible for such events or their aftermath. Silk Mandarin cannot accept liability for any loss, damage,
expenses, or disruption the participant may suffer as a result of these events. Fees paid will not be refunded.

 

Code of Conduct
1. All participants of Silk Mandarin camps, are expected to adhere to proper conduct and obey the camp’s staff
instructions. This covers, but is not limited to, showing respect towards others, including their cultures, beliefs, and
opinions and refrain from engaging in illegal activities and drug use.
2. Silk Mandarin reserves the right, at its discretion, to expel any participant whose actions or attitude are deemed
detrimental to other camp participants, camp staff, camp safety, or the general camp atmosphere, or who fails to
comply with the program’s rules, policies, and procedures. In such cases, no refund will be provided
3. Parents accept full responsibility, financially or otherwise, for their child’s conduct, including costs related to early
dismissal, damage to equipment, property, camp facilities, or the personal belongings of other participants.
4. Participants are required to attend all parts of the planned program. If a participant is unable to attend any part of
the program, parents must inform Silk Mandarin staff in writing at least two (2) days in advance. Silk Mandarin will
not provide a make-up class, activity, or refund
5. Participants who wish to leave the program without Silk Mandarin’s supervision must have written consent from
their parents, submitted to Silk Mandarin at least two (2) days in advance. Silk Mandarin is not liable for any
damages incurred by participants while not under their supervision.

 

Parental Consent
By purchasing Silk Mandarin’s camp I hereby:
1. acknowledge that I am over the age of 18, that I am the parent and/or legal guardian and that I have the authority
to make agreements on behalf of my child; I further
2. give consent for my child to participate in all Silk Mandarin’s Camp activities, and I execute the liability release on
their behalf and agree to all of its terms and conditions; and I
3. give my consent to have my child treated by emergency medical personnel, a physician, or surgeon, in case of
sudden illness or injury while participating in Silk Mandarin’s Camp. It is understood that Silk Mandarin will provide
no medial insurance for such treatment, and that the cost thereof will be at my expense.
